A full-bodied Tequila Reposado, rested for 8 weeks and 8 days by the Camarena family at the Ocho Distillery in Jalisco Highlands - Los Altos, Mexico, matured in barrels previously used for American Whiskey. It begins delicately with notes of agave & vanilla; a balanced middle phase introduces earthy, oak, almond, vanilla & tapenade notes; culminating in a long & smooth conclusion with hints of pepper, caramel & zest. About this bottle
This reposado tequila was harvested from Rancho "Potrero Grande" in 2016. Due to a limited yield, the release is exclusive to the Mexican market, though Carlos Camarena has retained some for reference. It underwent two months of aging in neutral, previously used American whiskey barrels.
