A wonderful offering from a distillery I'm unfamiliar with but eager to explore!:) Nose: smooth yogurt, apricot, and a light fruit puree. A very fruity opening leading to baked cinnamon. Taste: robust, sudden, spicy, and bold. Abundant malty allspice with herbal cinnamon. A very long, bold finish. Transitions to a dry, lengthy, layered aftertaste. Conclusion: a really good bottle for the cost. Packed with flavor, some very intricate components throughout. It won't always compete with aged, expensive bottles, but it effectively showcases the character of less recognized highland distilleries. I'd certainly purchase it again.
