About this bottle

Ardmore Distillery in Scotland's Highlands produces Teacher's Single Malt. The distillery was established by William Teacher's son in 1898. This single malt, characterized by peat, undergoes a secondary maturation in small quarter casks, a practice common in the 19th century. It is bottled at 40% ABV and carries no age statement.

Jaxon Kenny 4.3

Nose: common scotch grain, honey, and smoke. Not just peat but also some actual wood smoke. Taste: first is the peat smoke followed by medium sweetness. Far more peat flavor than JW black. Slightly more than HP 12 but with less of the fruitiness than Highland. Less mid palate heat than Highland 12. At $18.99 a bottle it may supplant JW black and Highland from my bar. Don’t let the price fool you. Realize this is a Beam Suntory product.
