A whiskey produced from 100% Minnesota-grown rye, comprising 85% AC Hazlet Rye and 15% malted rye, underwent two years of aging in new, charred 53-gallon American oak barrels. Subsequently, it spent an additional two years maturing in 225-liter French oak tawny and ruby port wine barrels. This release became available in November 2021.

A delightful experience! I'm not sure I'd purchase another bottle of the port finish, but it makes for some enjoyable cocktails. It's drinkable on its own, though I found myself not reaching for it nightly.
