There are minor inconveniences and then major inconveniences for the exceptionally wealthy. When you think, 'oh no, another cognac xo sample to try,' you begin to understand the burden those in the top 1% carry most days. After this next cognac xo sample, I'm taking a hiatus from cognac before I develop repetitive strain injuries from it. Anyway, this is pleasant. I feel that with spirits today, it's similar to the journey I took with craft beer for about ten years. I drank increasingly strong and hoppy beers until I encountered a triple-hopped 13% beer one day, hit my limit, and then started appreciating lighter options. Nowadays, with beer, I usually hang out at base camp rather than climbing Mount Everest, and for spirits, I'm enjoying lower alcohol content drinks around 46% more. Even 40% can be nice sometimes. Not much flavor complexity, but it's a good way to unwind.

I find myself wanting to purchase it. I appreciate the brand and own both vs and vsop expressions.
