This is a sourced blend of rye whisky aged up to 8 years. Aroma: maple, butterscotch, caramel Taste: Less sweet than the smell suggests, with some spice and faint fruity/brandy notes. I don't detect any port; over time, it fades, and a peculiar Canadian whisky essence emerges mildly. Medium body. Features a unique black synthetic cork. Price: 36.95 plus tax (too expensive) Rating: C/C+ I also sampled that one; it cost 3 dollars more and received a high average rating (C+). That one actually had an 8-year age statement and was 41.5 abv. I had higher hopes for both this and the port finished varieties. I tried these around January/February of 2021.

This inexpensive bottle was great. It's a shame I can't find it nearby anymore.
So intensely sweet and syrupy, I forgot this was bourbon.
