I had the honor of finishing this bottle with the wonderful person who got it as a present. It was a very mellow scotch, suited for those who prefer a smoother, more earthy dram. I never felt overwhelmed by the taste or smell and savored every drop. Well done, Talisker.

About this bottle
The Distillers Edition represents an annual limited release series by Diageo, featuring specific single malt Scotch whisky distilleries from its collection. Each edition is subjected to a dual maturation process, finishing in a designated cask type. Talisker's contribution to this series is finished in casks that previously held Amoroso sherry, a blend of oloroso and PX sherry. This whisky was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2004 at 91.6 proof.

Sweet brown sugar on the nose and in color. Thin mouthfeel, but smooth on the tongue due to age and experience. Not as smoky as I prefer, but easily drinkable. Cheers!
Sweet aroma and smooth on the palate... however, I prefer more peat! Cheers!
Smoky, but in a good way.
