About this bottle

Sylvius Gin honors Franciscus Sylvius, credited with officially patenting a juniper-flavored distilled spirit in 1650. The Onder de Boompjes Distillery, the producer of this gin, began operations eight years after that patent, making it the oldest independent distillery in the Netherlands. This gin is produced using a wheat spirit and ten botanicals: juniper, angelica root, coriander seeds, lavender, whole lemons, orange zest, Ceylon cinnamon, star anise, licorice root, and caraway seeds. It is bottled at 45% ABV.
