Nose: Perfumed, floral, slightly bright, alcohol vapors, sharp grain, a hint of sweetness like very light spun sugar candy, almost sticky. The alcohol recedes if left to sit, revealing a fruitier sweetness that becomes more subdued, with honey notes. Taste: Sweet, sharp barrel spice, a lingering heat, not much else. One can tell it's mostly grain rather than malt. Not particularly great neat. Best mixed.

Essentially a watered-down version of Kakubin with less flavor. It might be better suited for cocktails, but at the same price point as Kaku, it's not really needed.
