Lela Santamaria 4.5

Introduced in the late 1960s by Suntory, a true titan in the whisky world today, was a popular blended malt known as Suntory Special Reserve. This expression is essentially a fusion of two celebrated Japanese whiskies, Yamazaki and Hakushu, presented in a jet-black bottle at 43% ABV. I sampled it, and the contents were magnificent. The aroma is quite pleasing. It begins with an unparalleled white chocolate scent, very buttery. Notes of sherry, peaches, and almonds follow, along with dehydrated oranges. After an initial taste, the fragrance evolved into a Milka Caramel chocolate, accompanied by hot honey, prunes, and caramel. Truly remarkable. On the palate, the impressive white chocolate note returns, alongside almonds and orange peel. A second taste revealed subtle sugar, caramel, and aniseed. The finish encompassed every conceivable flavor: it was sweet, bitter, spicy, and salty. Hints of salt, red berries, tobacco, liquorice, and ginger were present. Exceptional. In summary, this was an exceptionally enjoyable whisky. While not the absolute best in the world, I had a thoroughly good experience with it. I shared it with several individuals, and they were all taken with it. My rating for this intricate dram is 91 out of 100.

Kaia Jasso 4.5

The nose has notes of bitter cocoa and cherry. The palate features dry sherry, espresso, and cocoa, with more cocoa and espresso on the finish. Very intriguing and complex.

Lupe Reichert 4.0

Easy to drink, it presents a pronounced sweetness, as well as a palate reminiscent of dried fruits, light chocolate, and oak. Enjoyable!

Lynda Solorio 3.0

Slightly above average, but not particularly remarkable. Vanilla on the nose. A balance of very standard whiskey flavors.

Bradley Willis 3.8

Nose: Floral, chocolate, slightly tart. Taste: Chocolate, sugarcane, sweet and enjoyable.

Gussie Mohammed 3.5

Tastes of raisins and honey, with a slight bite at the end.
