A potent, blended whiskey from a master blender created with 50% malted barley & 50% grain whiskies. These were aged in former bourbon & former oloroso sherry casks, then given a final aging in rare Japanese Mizunara Oak before being combined & bottled at 40% ABV. It has an aromatic beginning with notes of toasted grain, orchard & dried fruits, oak, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich development adds notes of raisins, malt, caramel & dried apples; that resulted in a long & slightly hot conclusion with notes of oak, vanilla, incense & sandalwood.
