Suntory commenced special Lunar New Year releases in 1982, offering celebratory versions of both Suntory Royal Whisky and Suntory Old Whisky. The Year of the Boar Suntory Royal edition is designed in the shape of a pig and adorned with pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms, symbols recognized for good fortune.
