Stranahan's 10 Year Mountain Angel (Batch 3)

The aroma is musty, complex, and potent. The alcohol content makes its presence known strongly on the nose, despite being only slightly higher than other expressions at 45%. The flavor is exceptional. Malted barley, sweet vanilla, rich, complex, aged, and perfectly balanced. A tidal wave of flavor, yet balanced. A beautiful, long finish. This is unquestionably the best offering from this distillery. I am astonished.

Very well-balanced; the extended aging removes some of that excessively sweet, bubble gum-like character typical of the brand.
