Reformulated in 2019, Stranahan's Diamond Peak now incorporates solera finishing into its production. The American single malt continues to mature for at least four years in new, charred American oak barrels before being transferred to 620-gallon foeders for additional aging. A portion of the whiskey is then drawn off and replaced with new whiskey, a process that can be identified on the bottle label for this new formulation.

The aroma is gentle, with minimal earthiness and very little funk. The mouthfeel is pleasant, and the proof seems low. It's semi-sweet with a distinctive, lingering finish that's hard to pinpoint but enjoyable, almost like bubblegum. It's good, but consider the cost carefully.
More oak presence than the yellow label, with less barley character. It's sweeter on the nose and smoother on the finish, with a very creamy texture. Quite good for its price, though I still prefer the yellow label, this is a fine addition to the range.
The nose offers maple, sweet malt, and oak. The palate features oak, tobacco, spicy cayenne pepper, with coffee being the most dominant flavor. It has a creamy, smooth texture and a long maple finish. This is an excellent whiskey.
A mellow American single malt. Oak is apparent. It has malty bread notes. It's not particularly remarkable. The flavors are nicely unified.
The aroma presents bread and oak. Cinnamon and caramel are the primary flavors on the palate, with a lingering burn through the finish.
Clear amber body with medium legs. Spicy tobacco aroma. Woody, spicy tobacco, and leather flavor. Scoring: 8/4/8/4/15, total 3.9.
