Nose: Bright, fruity berry notes like raspberry, strawberry, and kiwi. Also has hazelnut and milk chocolate, reminiscent of Nutella. Taste: It's maltier than most Stranahan's, with dusty malt and nutty notes upfront. Finish: A tart, fruity finish featuring the raspberries and strawberries from the nose. The finish is longer than anticipated.

About this bottle
Stranahan's Bushmills Cask marks the inaugural release in the Distillery Exclusive series. Its production starts with 100% malted barley, which is distilled and aged for four years in new American oak barrels with a #3 char level. Subsequently, the whiskey is transferred to used Bushmills single malt Irish whiskey casks for an additional three years of maturation. This particular bottling has been exclusively available at the Stranahan's distillery in Denver since March 31, 2021.

While it's still an American whiskey, the rich shortbread notes characteristic of Irish whiskey are evident in both the smell and taste. It's not as rich as some other options, but it's a fantastic blend of American and Irish styles.
A truly wonderful whiskey. The Bushmills Casks impart a vanilla shortbread characteristic towards the end. Far better than anticipated!
