Complex yet clear flavor profile with a robust infusion of yeasty/malty notes, likely from the porter base, which appears after an initial lighter cereal taste and continues into a moderate finish. Very approachable. A good start for American single malt.

About this bottle
SOL Spirits believes that quality whiskey originates from quality beer. Uprising is crafted from 100% malted barley, using the dark malts typically found in stout. The spirit is aged in both charred American oak and toasted French oak. Notably, the bottle's design bears a resemblance to the remake of Battle Star Galactica. This product is offered in both 375ml and 750ml sizes.

Nose of licorice, brown sugar, and vanilla. Palate has anise, licorice, burnt cinnamon, and some spice. The finish is lingering and sugary with a lot of coffee. It seems young and could benefit from more aging.
Easy to drink, with a reasonably long finish.
Oak flavor is too strong and dominates.
