It's far too immature by any objective measure. Corn is the primary grain and it's quite harsh. I envisioned wheated perfection but instead, I'm mixing the rest of this bottle with Ginger Beer. I cannot endorse this.

About this bottle
Adam Spiegel, a native of San Francisco, established Sonoma County Distilling in northern California in 2010. West of Kentucky No. 2 represents the distillery's second annual release in its series. Similar to the first, its mash bill consists of yellow corn, unmalted rye, and cherrywood-smoked barley. The double distillation process in alembic stills utilizes direct flame, requiring vigilant attention. The bourbon is aged for over a year in small, new charred oak barrels, then transferred to used whiskey barrels for further mellowing.

I found it acceptable, though I wavered on whether I would repurchase it. It didn't strike me as being as sweet as other bourbons I've enjoyed, despite the producer's flavor profile description.
Effortlessly smooth and nutty, not overly complex, I would definitely purchase it again.
Very smooth. I felt warmth in my cheeks.
Almonds. Awful
