Nose: anise or licorice, clove, and baking spices reminiscent of gingerbread, plus fruity notes. Palate: the anise/licorice note returns, possibly from the grains (barley and red wheat) and the gingerbread. Dark fruits and some woody notes from the cask are also present. Finish: medium-long, with baking spices giving way to a chocolate note.

96 points. Amazing whiskey, full of oak and vanilla, with a delicate, medium-long finish. Very similar to McCallan 23.
