About this bottle

The father-and-son team behind Smugglers’ Notch Distillery in Jeffersonville, Vermont, produce this rum from molasses. It undergoes a double aging process: three years in charred American white oak, followed by one year in the distillery’s own bourbon barrels. This single-barrel amber rum is bottled at 40% ABV.

Allyson Bayer 3.8

Remarkably smooth - surpassed my expectations. Not sweet, well-flavored - I am enjoying it neat. Strong enough to cause slight tongue numbness. A pleasing surprise.

Kaylie Alicea 3.0

Pleasant aroma, sweet, brown sugar, perhaps caramelized banana? Sweet and rich on the palate. Satisfyingly long finish.

Cayla Mclean 4.0

Excellent rum with a smooth finish. It's somewhat of a blend between rum and whiskey. Overall, a pleasing beverage.

Rigoberto Spence 3.5

A respectable rum. Not ideal for sipping neat, but I acquired a bottle for use as a mixer.
