Smokehead Twisted Islay Single Malt Scotch

Tasted neat with a companion. The scent is peaty but has sweet undertones from the stout cask. Notes of vanilla, honey, pecan, cocoa nibs, a creamy texture like crème brûlée, sherry, and cherry. Exceptionally smooth on the palate and nutty.

Nose of peat, cocoa, something green, coffee grounds, orange peel, a hint of vanilla, roasted corn, and sherry. Smoke is less intense than anticipated. Mild on the palate, with peat smoke, cocoa, oak, black pepper, and ash.

Extremely smoky, excellent quality and reasonably priced.
