For those new to smoky Islay spirits, Rock Ed II might need some adjustment. However, if you're already accustomed to Islay styles, this edition could be deceptive, as its striking packaging doesn't quite match the contents. It's certainly peaty and an interesting alternative to more established Islay mainstays, but for the price, I'd opt for an Ardbeg 10YO instead. Still, the bottle certainly stands out. It paired magically with strong, mineral-rich oysters like Sydney rock oysters!

A strong initial aroma that quickly fades, revealing banana notes. The flavor is sweet and slightly spicy, but nothing remarkable.
Very strong smoky flavor
