Aroma of smoke, sherry, and nougat. The sherry is prominent. Notes of burnt plums and oak with a malty character. The finish brings black pepper and vanilla. I really enjoy the core character of Ben Nevis, which attempts to emerge but is ultimately suppressed. It's definitely a sherry-forward expression. A warming sensation as it goes down, perfect for a cozy time.
