The most heavily peated whisky from Bunnahabhain Distillery, this Staoisha expression is richly layered and delightfully earthy. The nose offers grilled pineapple with a hint of iodine, smoked pear in caramel sauce, apple skins, and baking spices, all balanced by a whiff of sea salt. The palate is substantial, with persistent peat complemented by notes of caramelized banana, pineapple, sweet granola malt, honey, and toffee. The finish is decadent and mouth-filling, with peat remaining prominent as sweet and spicy elements gradually fade, leaving behind lingering caramel and grilled citrus. It's exceptionally enjoyable and delicious.
