Although there's no age statement, it has ample oak and leather on the nose, suggesting an age of around 10 years or more. It also features notes of brown sugar, dark honey, orange, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. On the palate, there are more oak notes with brown sugar, dark honey, rye spice, milk chocolate, and some smoke. Subsequently, it shifts towards fruitiness with orange, citrus, and cherry. Finally, it concludes with notes of straw, malt, and more milk chocolate. The finish is pleasantly long and complex. A very bold and expressive nose on a bourbon with a lower proof. I appreciate the balance on the palate, which includes well-aged notes of oak and leather alongside hints of orange, honey, and cherry.

Wow. Don't be deceived by the aroma. It smells very light and unremarkable, but the taste matches the value and reputation of this bottle. Flavor-wise, it's loaded with marshmallow, has a medicinal/herbal undertone, followed by a hint of spice and hard candy – the kind elderly relatives keep in their purses in foil wrappers. The finish has a subtle cocoa and oak character. I heard French Oak was used in the 2019 version. Due to its lower alcohol content, it's not as impressive as or comparable to some intensely flavored bottles or even exceptional ones in the 107 to 116 proof range... but this might be the best bottle I've ever had below 100 proof.

Nose: Strong notes of brown sugar and maple syrup. Body: The brown sugar and maple syrup continue, accompanied by a pronounced sourness that creates a flavor like sweet tea with lemon. A subtle hint of leather is also present. This is a very smooth sipper, full of flavor yet light in its finish. Finish: Exceptionally smooth with hints of brown sugar, black pepper, leather, and tobacco. Slightly lacking on the tongue, though.

Truly one of the most difficult-to-find bottles I've ever purchased at retail... and I get why. It's stunning. Flawless. Amazing texture with spice, nutmeg, vanilla, and a subtle orange cream on the finish. A fantastic bottle. It's a shame I may never encounter it again.

Smells of sweet caramel goodness with floral and fruit notes. It lightly coats the mouth. The taste is light and goes down without burning. I just opened the bottle, so it had a strong alcohol smell. I'll let it rest and try it again soon. It shows great potential!

Now that this bottle has been open for several days, the sweetness and nuttiness are more pronounced. Incredibly easy to drink! Still the richest bourbon I've ever encountered.
