This dram contains many flavors; enjoy it with a charcuterie board or a selection of chocolates to discover different aromas and tastes. I appreciate that no single flavor is overwhelmingly dominant.

About this bottle
Made from two-row malted barley, this Canadian single malt is double distilled in small batches. It matures in American oak for 4 years, then spends 152 days finishing in French oak red wine barrels. The wine barrels were sourced from Quails' Gate winery in British Columbia, specifically their Quails' Gate Old Vines Foch Reserve. It is bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration.

I got a sample and really enjoyed it. Sweet, spicy, with apricot. Good balance and the alcohol level is appropriate, no water needed. Recommended; I think more age would make it a 4-star rating.
Woody, subtle, with a great mouthfeel.
Excellent whiskey.
