Marjorie Beckwith 3.3

Nose - Floral vanilla, sweet multigrain rolls, honey butter, sweet sprouted grains, white chocolate Taste - A bit too sweet, showing its youth with a slight ethanol sting but not fully integrated, gentle warmth, soft grain sweetness, very mild on the palate, almost buttery, soft sweet milk bread, like a Kind bar in liquid form Finish - Grainy sweetness lingers, light warmth, fruity/grainy bitterness, light floral caramel, milk bread Score - 76/100 Final Thoughts - This was an interesting whiskey as it lacks any unpleasant notes and yet simultaneously doesn't taste like any other whiskey I've encountered. The distinct grain combination creates a very smooth mouthfeel that makes it seem predominantly like a soft winter wheat whiskey. It gives off a soft multigrain milk bread impression, but includes darker, lightly toasted grain notes. It's lightly floral, with hints of white chocolate and bitter fruit stems, but these appear and disappear. None of the flavors persist for extended periods; they simply seem to come and go as they please. This isn't amazing, but it's not bad. It's very easy to sip without much thought. It might work well in a highball if no citrus is added, as that could potentially mask the flavors too much. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - Perhaps Would I buy a bottle? - Not another at its current price NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price.

A very unique smell, sweet but in an undefinable way. The flavor is rich and syrupy, with a slightly herbal sweetness. It brings to mind Benedictine, along with oak. There's a pleasant botanical sting at the end; a nice drink overall.

This is an okay spirit from a new distillery.
