Potentially the most off-putting aroma I've encountered in an alcoholic beverage. However, the actual flavor is surprisingly rich with peat and smoke. It still has a burn, but is generally quite agreeable and leaves a lasting impression on the palate. The liquid's color is unexpectedly pale. Edit: The addition of a few drops of water transformed this dram. It developed an oily texture and the heat diminished slightly, revealing a pleasant sweetness alongside the peat. Impressive!
