Sauza Signature Blue Silver Tequila

The aroma is reminiscent of tobacco, specifically an ashtray. Some tart notes suggest vegetation and lime, yet also strongly smell of tobacco. It presents with unexpected smoothness, abundant smoke, and iodine. There's a degree of sweetness, though not overwhelming. While elements are present, the complexity is lacking, and the existing flavors are not particularly pleasing. A second tasting proves more favorable, yet still unimpressive. It's quite bitter, with significant herbal characteristics. Fruity notes appear, like lemon and unripe pineapple, possibly with a touch of lime. It's decent in mixes but unsuitable for sipping. The bitterness is challenging to ignore, and a certain off-putting quality persists. It's unclear why another reviewer perceived this as fruity and sweet; from my perspective, it's bitter with mineral and other disagreeable notes. Some pleasant fruitiness emerges, followed by a taste akin to a tire fire. Seriously, is this the equivalent of Clan MacGregor in the tequila world? The initial bitter impact obscures more intriguing fruity and vegetal notes. It brings to mind a blend of Cabeza Blanco and Fortaleza Blanco, but generally inferior. The faint hints of character are appealing but far too understated.

Not suited for sipping. The taste is pleasant going down, but it leaves a very strong, intense alcohol aftertaste. It makes an excellent margarita. I need to explore more budget-friendly tequilas, but currently, it's my preferred choice for cocktails/shots when not seeking a tequila sipper, and it's affordably priced.

I purchased a single serving at a football game. For reference, I also got a Seagram's. Look at the volume of tequila I received. But alright. Returning to the assessment. Smoky. The agave sweetness isn't as pronounced as one might expect for the cost, actually. It's satisfactory. I'm sure it's excellent in cocktails.

First time in years. Trying Sauza, taste is average on the rocks, don't taste much mezcal...

Not ideal for sipping, but excels in cocktails. It has a slight bitterness and astringency.

Works for mixing. My go-to tequila for margaritas and Palomas.
