About this bottle
Tequila Santaleza is a brand developed through a partnership between Chopin Imports, recognized for its vodka line, and the Lopez-Villareal family of San Matias. The tequila is produced from 100% blue Weber agave sourced from Los Altos, Jalisco, and is made without any additives or the use of a diffuser. Production involves a mechanical donkey named Pepe to operate the tahona for crushing cooked agave, alongside natural open-air fermentation. The reposado expression is aged for a minimum of four months in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It became available in select US markets starting February 2023, with wider distribution planned subsequently. (SRP $69.99)
