Aged approximately 4.5 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. Smell: Fruit, baked bread, sugar, earthy notes. Taste: Creamy, spicy, with citrus and orange, plus honey. Notes of oak, dried fruit, and barley appear and vanish with each sip. Finish: A numbing, dry, fruity finish. The casks seem quite active. This spirit tied for second place out of six whiskies tasted, receiving 14% of the vote for favorite of the evening. The other whiskies were also very close in the voting.

A sample. The nose has a sweet malted barley aroma. The mouthfeel is sweet and slick, revealing bourbon, honey, and a hint of Sherry. This is undoubtedly a sweet Irish whiskey; it's not bad.
Reminds me of sipping a rich, buttery Chardonnay while on a tropical island. There's a little burn at the end.
