Sagamore Reserve Vintner's Finish is a blend of straight rye whiskeys. The rye is first finished in either red wine or port wine casks before being combined. The blend is then reduced to 98.4 proof using limestone-rich spring water from Sagamore Farm, the distillery's namesake. Distribution is restricted to the Maryland and D.C. markets.

It's good, but not outstanding. I tried it neat at a restaurant while having a spicy chicken taco. Initially, I detected mulled spices. After clearing my palate, I could taste the wine and port barrel finishing. A licorice flavor lingered on my tongue. The rye was definitely present. Your personal experience may vary.
I tried this a couple of days ago for the first time. It has a pleasant color, and the nose offers hints of port and spices. The first sip is smooth with notes of honey and cinnamon and a long finish. I didn't detect much rye spice. It's a nice whisky for sipping.
A rich nose of vanilla, rye, port, white cake with icing, and spearmint. The palate is smooth and moderately sweet, with notes of rye, port, and vanilla. It finishes with a fruity sweetness.
