About this bottle

Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse Camp Nelson B marks the third release in the Single Rickhouse Collection. The bourbon barrels for this edition were sourced from Camp Nelson B, a rickhouse constructed in 1946, noted for its high elevation and greater sun exposure compared to previous releases. Barrels were chosen from the sixth floor of the seven-story structure. This bottling is presented at barrel proof, 120.2 proof, without chill-filtration, representing the highest proof for any Russell's Reserve bottling to date. It will be available starting October 2024 at select retailers nationwide and the Wild Turkey Distillery Visitors Center. (SRP $300)

I had a serving at a local establishment. It was very good and slightly different than I anticipated based on their other offerings (which I also enjoy, but this has a different flavor profile). On the nose, it smells sweet, almost like caramel, but I detect more of a spicy taste, like cinnamon and clove, without being harsh. The mouthfeel is good and lingers a bit. It drinks much less sweet than I expected from the aroma. It's very, very smooth and a fantastic sipper. The finish is long.

A pleasing, strong flavor. It has a noticeable heat, but it's manageable. It's comparable to the CNF.
