Aroma: Baked apples with cinnamon, coconut, burnt sugar, vanilla bean, and newly charred wood. Taste: First, pepper and spice, followed by rich buttered popcorn, Gala apples, crème brûlée, and dark cherry. Aftertaste: Extended, strong finish with a dominant peppery spice and a hint of butteriness. Wow. The taste is the star here. The aroma is well-composed and pleasant, but the taste is where it truly excels. A rush of heat arrives first, then fantastic notes of popcorn, apples, and cherries. A final surge of spice covers the fruit notes, resulting in one of the most enduring aftertastes I have experienced.

An incredible bourbon flavor bomb! Drink it if you can find it. Nose: Caramel, sandalwood, macadamia nuts Palate: Begins with a little spice, sandalwood, toasted banana, macadamia nuts, slight sweetness, toasted coconut, and brandy-like fruitiness. Such a flavor explosion, with so many complex flavors at once, it's difficult to identify them all. Amazing! Mouthfeel: Creamy. Finish: Medium to long, with lingering sandalwood and macadamia nuts, and caramel.

Jesse Kopp 4.8

1st taste: Very rich, caramel apples and baked cinnamon spice on nose. Vanilla, strong alcohol, needs to rest for minutes. Dense caramelized sugars, intermingled baking spices, caramel apple, brown sugar/Maple and barrel dryness on finish. 2nd: Less apple, some banana? More barrel influence on taste but retains dense sweetness and less burn.

It goes to show that a highly rated whiskey does not automatically mean you are going to enjoy it. While I didn’t hate this whiskey, I did find it a little lacking in flavor. No matter how much I searched for the flavors I was getting, nothing really stood out. It just seemed dull to me. It won’t stop me from trying mic drop 2 and 3 though!

Awesome “bourbon”! Great aroma of vanilla, butterscotch, caramel with a hint of spice. Tastes as good as it smells with a complex flavor profile and a moderate to long finish. One of my favorites. Too bad it’s a limited run. Once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. If u can find a bottle, get it. Well worth the $100 price tag.

This whiskey has benefited from time in an opened bottle. The aroma presents notable grain scents, welcome spice, and a good quantity of caramel. The taste is dry, yet holds sweet notes such as cream soda, vanilla, and toasted sugars. The warmth is almost excessive but instead provides the spirit a lively character.
