Riverset Straight Rye Whiskey Single Barrel (r/Bourbon selection)

A selection from 2022 r/bourbon. Aged for 5 years, with a proof of 118. The nose presents sweet honey and orange with only a slight hint of heat. The taste includes pepper, cherry, oak, and cola. The spicy rye dances a bit and leaves a lingering sensation on my tongue. This particular bottle was highly enjoyable and consistent throughout.

The aroma is heavily vanilla. It possesses more fruitiness and peach notes than one might expect from a rye.
