Nose- Strong notes of rye bread. Oak and vanilla. Palate- Starts with cinnamon, then bread notes. Wheat flavor. A subtle cherry taste. Finish- Persistent rye notes throughout with an oaky vanilla finish. A bit of spice, but not much. Overall- Significant oak presence from a decade in the barrel. A light-bodied spirit with considerable flavor depth. Some flavors are subtle. A great offering from a small local producer that can compete with major brands.
