A bright nose, reminiscent of bourbon, with vanilla, grassy sugarcane notes, oak, tangerine, honey, and figs. A creamy mouthfeel with warm citrus, mango, banana, honey, fig, vanilla, and grassy notes. I compared this to Clement VSOP at 80 proof, and the higher alcohol content is a definite advantage. A sweet, medium finish.

Following the blanc, the Gold's 12 months in oak makes its presence known. It's smoother, rounder, and presents woody notes of vanilla. Significantly hotter due to the higher proof. However, it still retains abundant grassy, green, herbaceous, and vegetal character.
Presents spice and heat, enhancing any cocktail with great taste.
