About this bottle

Hans Reisetbauer, a renowned Master Distiller from Austria, is known for his eau de vie fruit brandies, as well as his whisky and gins, including a sloe gin. His dry gin involves a third distillation after 2-3 days of infusing 27 botanicals into a wheat neutral spirit, which he also distills. Botanicals include juniper, lemon rind, angelica root, cilantro seeds, turmeric, and licorice. The spirit is then diluted to 43% ABV with soft spring water from an alpine pasture in upper Austria.

If you're curious about the standard Negroni but want an easier entry into enjoying Campari, give this a shot. TOOLS Mixed drink strainer (for serving without ice) COMPONENTS * 30ml Aperol * 30ml Lillet Blanc * 37ml Hendrick's Gin * Tiny piece of grapefruit or grapefruit peel for decoration (I really think it's unnecessary) PROCEDURE For a drink on ice, combine Aperol, Lillet Blanc, and gin with ice in an Old Fashioned glass, then decorate with grapefruit and serve. For a drink without ice, combine Aperol, Lillet Blanc, and gin with ice in a mixing glass, then pour into a chilled cocktail glass and decorate with grapefruit peel.

A crisp, Dry Gin from Reisetbauer Distillery in Austria. It's a pot-still, small-batch Gin crafted with exceptionally soft water and produced from locally sourced 'Mulan' wheat. It utilizes 27 botanicals (including Juniper from Macedonia) and omits heads or tails during distillation. It presents an aromatic beginning with notes of juniper, orris root, citrus, and anise; followed by a fresh and elegant middle with notes of apple, wheat, grapefruit, citrus, ginger, honeyed spices, and other botanicals; culminating in a long and rich finish with a hint of pepper. Flaviar Sample: very pleasant. Herbal, juniper, citrus, mild pepper and sweetness. I could drink this every day.

Wonderful. Not a complex gin, but very tasty and a genuine pleasure to drink.
