The nose is intensely minty with caramel, brown sugar, and bitter almond notes. The taste mirrors the nose, concluding with a cherry finish. This didn't meet my expectations, especially given the brand's reputation. As my first experience with their products, I'm not inclined to try more. It's an average whiskey, and the higher proof doesn't add any complexity. I've had less expensive bottles that were superior. I'll pass.
