Rebel 100 Straight Rye Whiskey is a decent two-year-old rye suitable only for mixing at bars due to its low price. Raw oak and caramel scents greet the nose. The palate is warmed by flavors of leather, caramel, and spices, with a finish of oak and spice. It requires another two years of aging to reach good quality.
Taste: Quite spicy with a strong cinnamon flavor, followed by vanilla and almond, and a lingering taste of honey graham crackers. The finish is a bit boozy and astringent. Appearance: Deep gold with an amber hue. Smell: Vanilla, rye spice, and a faint scent of wet cardboard.
