I've been consuming a lot of bourbon recently, a minor departure from my usual peaty drinks. I'm not a huge tequila drinker, but the cost and extra anejo designation made it a good value. Looking at it, this is certainly among the finest blancos I've ever experienced. If I close my eyes, it reminds me of a decent bourbon. The bourbon barrels truly worked wonders, and are those floral hints I'm detecting from the Bordeaux casks?

About this bottle
Qui Tequila is presented as the world's inaugural platinum extra añejo tequila. Master distiller Miguel Cedeno supervises the double distillation process, followed by 3.5 years of aging in used bourbon and Bordeaux casks. After achieving extra añejo status, Qui undergoes a proprietary nine-time filtration and a third distillation, resulting in its clear appearance.

This tequila deserves a significantly higher rating than an 84. It possesses all the desirable aromas and flavors for sipping tequila, and served ice-cold, it's the most mellow I've encountered. My spouse finds it amusing that I'm always smelling it; the scents are that pleasant! An amazing price for such a premium tequila. Give it a shot; you won't be let down!
The finest and most velvety tequila I've encountered. Flavors of vanilla, hazelnut, and butterscotch leave a pleasant, lasting impression. I prefer savoring this tequila on its own over using it in a premium cocktail, but it's delicious either way! Furthermore, the price is excellent for an Extra Añejo, around $55.
Close your eyes and envision a dark añejo. With your eyes open, this is the finest blanco ever encountered. It boasts a wonderful floral, butterscotch aroma with a hint of heat at the start. It's smooth on the palate, with delightful vanilla agave and oak in the finish. Enjoy it chilled or over ice.
This is undoubtedly among the finest tequilas I have ever sampled. Flavors of Vanilla, Butterscotch, and Hazelnut transition into a whisky-like finish. The barrel fermentation is clearly discernible. It is smooth and enjoyable. I wholeheartedly endorse it.
This deserves a much higher score than 84. A fantastic tequila. It's very smooth, rich, and the barrel notes from maturation are truly apparent. I give it a 98.
