Nose - Quite mild with hints of vanilla, oak, rye bread, and a touch of caramel. Palate - Mild with vanilla and a little honey that increases and then yields to gentle rye spices, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, and buttered toast. Finish - Coats the mouth and is warm with lasting spice and creaminess, but it vanishes too fast.

This is the second pour from the bottle. Overall, it's pleasing but subtle. The nose hints at honey and damp rye, perhaps with a faint touch of mint. The flavor profile develops on the palate towards sweetness from vanilla and cinnamon, followed by a hint of barrel char. Everything is pleasant and smooth, but I desire more pronounced flavors.
As I have limited experience with rye, this review comes from a beginner's perspective. It has a malty character, possibly a bit harsh and peppery, with distinct oak notes and some vanilla. It's interesting how the sweetness emerges alongside the rather intense rye flavor. The finish is of medium to short length but has a hot sensation.
I’m a huge fan of this in an old fashioned (my favorite to date) but at the price, I’m not sure some people would want to mix it. Still solid neat or on the rocks.
A fine rye. Abundant typical rye spices and flavors complement delicious barrel notes. Minimal alcohol bite, making it an excellent choice for sipping.
Amber color. Prominent vanilla. Moderately sweet with mild spice. Medium alcohol presence. Straightforward and agreeable.
