Pleasant reddish brown hue. Clean, easy aroma with subtle hints of oak and citrus. Medium body, somewhat dry on the palate, with some oak notes, a nice touch from the virgin barrels. Concludes with a clean finish that fades a bit quickly, but offers notes of pepper. Overall, a really nice, approachable rum for the price. Excellent neat or on the rocks, but also suitable for mixing.

I've just finished a bottle of Privateer's "Fulcrum," one of their older distillers drawer releases at seven years old. Privateer continues to elevate their offerings, and this bottling is the first that I'd consider world-class. In terms of flavor, it stands alongside Foursquare's exceptional cask selections.
Quite good. My compliments to Brandon.
