This is a review of the 5-year-old Queen's Share Distiller's Drawer. Release #116, 119 proof. It has a golden color. The nose features campfire marshmallows, brown sugar, vanilla, and toasted cinnamon stick. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy. The extended aging is evident on the palate with ample spicy oak, creme brulee crust, flambeed bananas dusted with allspice, cinnamon apple pie, hints of sea salt, peppermint, and sandalwood. The finish is medium-long, dry, and oaky, with notes of strawberries and cream, dry grass, and more baking spices. It drinks more like a bourbon than any other rum I have tasted.
