About this bottle

Part of Diageo's 2017 autumn special releases, this Islay single malt whisky was distilled in 1979 and aged for 37 years. The maturation occurred in refill American oak hogsheads and refill American oak butts. Bottled at 51% ABV, only 2988 bottles were produced. The Port Ellen Distillery ceased operations in 1983, with only its floor maltings remaining active; however, plans are in place for the distillery to resume production.
