About this bottle

This rum is one of two expressions in Planteray's Extrême No. 3 Collection. Both were distilled in 1996 at Jamaica's Long Pond Distillery, known for producing various rum styles, or marques, from light to intense. This ITP bottling has an ester content of 386g/hlap and is described as having "notes of very ripe tropical fruit." It spent its initial 21 years of aging in Jamaica within former bourbon barrels, followed by its final year in France in Ferrand casks. It is bottled at cask strength.

A damn good barrel proof sipper that has no added sugar. It tastes like whisky with its complexity.
