While the aroma doesn't quite match the peppery excellence of a certain 10-year rye, this still provides a hint of the enjoyment ahead. Upon tasting, you immediately detect a blend of sweet cocoa and smoke that transforms into a peppery burn as the nearly 115 proof whiskey makes its presence known. I've sampled many ryes, including several single barrel expressions from a specific distillery, and this ranks among the best, comparable to a certain batch from Kentucky Owl and a specific 10-year rye. Admittedly, the latter offers a more intense flavor, but I purchased two bottles of 'Humidor' because it's a distinctive, excellent drink for any rye enthusiast.

Smells like maple syrup. Tastes very spicy with a hint of sweetness. There's also an unusual note that I don't care for.
Pepper, pepper, pepper - delightful
A solid rye. Noticeably sweet.
