Paul John Oloroso Select Cask

Tried this in July. Very good but I prefer the PX Select Cask. Nose: Raisins, Figs, Bananas, Chocolate, Toffee, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, Apricot, Mango, Pineapple, Guava, Dates, Cherries, Plums, Christmas Cakes, Watermelon, Green and Red Apples Palate: Raisins, Dark Chocolate, Oak, Prunes, Ginger, Oranges, Cherries, Peaches, Walnuts, Cinnamon, Pepper, Baking Spices, Cashews, Cloves, Licorice, Mocha, Coffee Beans Finish: Raisins, Chocolate, Gingerbread, Dark Figs, Cherries, Dates, Plums, Toffee, Cloves, Red Apples, Licorice

Sweet aroma. Spicy taste. Orange, spices, fruit cake. Excellent before or after dining. Highly recommended!

Dark brown, with significant strength, sweetness, and a liqueur-like body. Strong oloroso influence. Very distinctive.

A decent sherry-style offering, though I preferred the Redbreast.
