Godawan Single Malt Rich and Rounded Artisan Whisky Series 01

I was fortunate to sample this at a friend's gathering. I was unaware that India produced Single Malts. This is a worthy addition to the global Single Malt collection. It presents a pale amber hue, though I'm uncertain if the color is natural or from unfiltered processing. The 46% ABV is commendable, suggesting a richer flavor profile, so let's dive in: Nose: Initially, it evoked orange rinds in lemongrass tea, a delightful aroma complemented by honey. It's fascinating to detect a pleasant tea fragrance in an Indian Single Malt. Palate: Somewhat disappointing. It's gentle on the tongue, which some might call light, failing to meet the olfactory expectations. There's a subtle spice I can't quite pinpoint, possibly honey, and perhaps mint. The finish is nutty, definitely dry nuts. Overall: A decent whisky, easy to drink, with a great scent but a subdued palate. Cheers!
