Papalin Jamaica

The smell is reminiscent of a dirt path through a vibrant jungle leading to a small inlet on the coast of NW Maui: damp, with fruits on the branches and fallen to the ground, in various stages of decay, perfuming the air with sweet, rotting fruits and blossoms. This is not the typical taste of rum. It's more floral. A strong cinnamon aftertaste leaves a tingling sensation on the tongue. Evaluation based on drinking it neat.

A good level of funk without being overwhelming, leaving the palate dry. This Jamaican rum offers less of an overripe fruit character than many other funky varieties.
