About this bottle

With a mash bill of 65% corn, 30% wheat, and 5% barley, Old Nick Carolina Whiskey is made by a family continuing a legacy that began with Old Nick Williams Co. in 1768. The original company ceased operations due to Prohibition in North Carolina, which began in 1908.

Leo Cantu 4.0

I believe this uses the same grain combination as their Old Nick wheated bourbon (also excellent). Heavy on the corn and grain, definitely not flavorless like vodka. Has a subtle tequila-like characteristic. Complements citrus flavors very well. During summer, when preparing a Hendrick's and tonic for my wife, I use the rest of the tonic bottle with a generous amount of this for a fantastic beverage.

Gael Dawson 5.0

A fantastic whiskey for sipping. Consistently smooth throughout the tasting experience. Received a double gold star at the 2018 San Francisco Spirits Awards.

Jayden Braswell 3.5

Sweet, made with wheat, and has a wood grain flavor. A bit immature, but not unpleasant. Notes of butterscotch and caramel.

Jonathon Lawrence 5.0

Excellent for sipping neat. Provides a smooth finish when used in mixed drinks during warmer months.

Virgil Ruelas 2.5

A bit too much wheat for my liking.
